"Magnolia CDC has positioned itself to implement projects that are true to its mission and vision of assisting the low to moderate income community"

CONTINUED COMMUNITY GROWTH

With its recent expansion into Lafayette Parish, Magnolia CDC has expanded its access to potential funding opportunities and projects that include rental housing for the elderly and single family development.  It has also developed the capacity to become certified as a Certified Housing Development Organization (CHDO) on both the state and local government level which provides access to additional funding.  It has developed partnership with local banks, nonprofits as well as other stakeholders to accomplish its mission. Through its professional development and networking with national and local organizations, both public and private, Magnolia CDC has positioned itself to implement projects that are true to its mission and vision of assisting the low to moderate income community in community development.  To accomplish this, it is necessary that the CDC continue to develop the expertise in community development by educating and developing a staff that is capable of formulating and implementing projects. It is for this purpose that one of its principle goal is to fund its capacity building campaign.  The campaign is to build the capacity of the organization to sustain its continued growth in community development.
